National Museum of African American History and Culture

Beginning Monday, Sept. 2, 2019 (Labor Day), visitors to the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture will not need a pass to enter the museum on weekdays. Visitors may enter the museum on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 10 a.m. every Monday through Friday through February 2020. More information is available at https://nmaahc.si.edu/visit/passes.

Timed-entry passes will still be required every Saturday and Sunday. Visitors can obtain same-day online passes for Saturdays or Sundays, or they can use the advanced timed-entry passes that were distributed for weekends in September online in June.

Group Passes
The museum will continue to require advanced timed-entry passes every day for groups of 10 or more. Information on how to obtain group passes can be found at https://nmaahc.si.edu/visit/passes.

New Discount for Federal Employees
Beginning Sept. 2, 2019, the museum’s Sweet Home Café will offer a 10 percent discount for all federal employees. This discount is available every day the museum is open. Federal employees must show their federal ID badge to receive the discount in the Café.
