On Jan. 16, 2016, members of the public will see giant panda cub Bei Bei (BAY-BAY) on exhibit for the first time since the National Zoo’s panda house closed to the public before his birth Aug. 22, 2015. Bei Bei and his mother Mei Xiang (may-SHONG) will have access to their off-exhibit den and may choose to spend time in it instead of on exhibit.
