January 16, 2016 by The District Leave a Comment

On Jan. 16, 2016, members of the public will see giant panda cub Bei Bei (BAY-BAY) on exhibit for the first time since the National Zoo’s panda house closed to the public before his birth Aug. 22, 2015. Bei Bei and his mother Mei Xiang (may-SHONG) will have access to their off-exhibit den and may choose to spend time in it instead of on exhibit. The amount of time Bei Bei will be on exhibit each day will depend on his behavior.

What:
Public debut of giant panda cub Bei Bei at the National Zoo

When:
Saturday, Jan. 16
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Note:
It is recommended that visitors interested in seeing Bei Bei arrive at the panda habitat by 3:30 p.m.

Where:
David M. Rubenstein Family Giant Panda Habitat on Asia Trail
Smithsonian’s National Zoo

Note:
