This weekend is the Grand Opening of the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, DC. The event kicks off Friday, September 23 on the Washington Monument Grounds with Freedom Sounds: A Community Celebration. Saturday, September 24 is the Dedication Ceremony, and the celebration continues Sunday, September 25th. See the schedule below:

The Museum officially opens to the public following the Dedication Ceremony on Saturday, September 24, 2016. The museum will keep its doors open for extended hours Monday through Friday, September 26 – 30, 10 a.m.– 7:30 p.m, Saturday, October 1, 10 a.m.– midnight, and Sunday, October 2, 10 a.m.– 10 p.m.
