Spy Museum to Open Only for Weekends and Holidays
WASHINGTON – January 22, 2021 – In accordance with Mayor Bowser’s updated order, the International Spy Museum (SPY) will reopen Saturday, January 23. The Museum will be open Fridays through Sundays and on President’s Day. The Museum plans to resume daily operations on March 1.
“We are thrilled to open our doors and get back to what we love – bringing to life the compelling and sometimes unbelievable real stories of intelligence history,” shared Tamara Christian, president and COO of the International Spy Museum. “We’re grateful to be a place the community can go for joy, respite, and trusted information during this challenging time.”
During the week, the public can still experience the Museum virtually through SPY’s robust social media channels; the historian/curator’s weekly podcast, SpyCast; educational resources for parents, teachers, and learners of all ages; customizable virtual events offerings ranging from birthday parties and educational workshops to cocktail hours and speaker events; and through a full slate of virtual programming in 2021.
