O Street Museum

The only museum of its kind, O Street Museum is dedicated to exploring the creative process offering an ever-changing collection of architecture, paintings, photographs, sculpture, books, artifacts, memorabilia, and music, from all over the globe.

It has been featured on the Travel Channel’s “Mega Mansions” as well as in numerous best selling books and magazines — including National Geographic Traveler, James Patterson’s Four Blind Mice and Hunter Davies’ The John Lennon Letters.

Create your own adventure when you explore the museum and its collection of more than 20,000 books and other donated items on your own. Search through at least 60 of our 100 rooms and many secret doors for new titles, rare volumes, or your all time favorites! Get 2 free books of similar value for every 10 you purchase. Most titles are priced $5 or less. 10% discount off other items (antiques excluded).

Treasure Hunt Tour
Advanced on-line reservations required for admission
Think with your heart feel with your mind — and have a blast! — as you search the entire second floor looking for designated items found only at The Mansion — from music to above and beyond. Over 26 hunts to choose from! 4 floor hunt additional.

Chestnut Tree Tour
Advanced on-line reservations required for admission
Tour outside by the pool to view one of the few rare adult chestnut trees in the area. Nearly extinct in the 1950’s, our 60ft. American Chestnut Tree has stood the test of time, withstanding an outbreak of blight that eradicated the majority of the chestnut tree population. After viewing this majestic gift you are invited to tour through at least 60 of our 100 rooms and search for secret doors.

Champagne Tour
Must be 21+ with valid ID – Advanced on-line reservations required for admission

O Street Museum in The Mansion on O Street

Hours: All tours are daily, from 11am – 4pm, unless specified otherwise.
Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Admission: All tours are available by on-line reservation only, based on availability. Prices vary.

Parking: On-street parking near O Street Museum Foundation is limited. The closest public parking facility is 3 blocks away. Valet parking is available for a fee.

Metrorail: Dupont Circle Metro Red Line — South Exit.
