Tudor Explorers: Garden Detectives

Students become digital garden detectives as they virtually explore 5 ½ acres of historic gardens in search of plants, animals and other wildlife. They will learn principles of scientific investigation to study how plants grow.
Tudor Explorers: Storytime in the Garden: Pollinators

Students are invited to virtually explore Tudor Place’s magnificent 5 ½ acre garden. This kinesthetic program promotes sensory learning and development. Students enjoy an interactive storytime, then observe a variety of plants, flowers and wildlife.

Tudor Place is pleased to announce the 29th Annual Garden Party will take place on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. This year Tudor Place honors the Georgetown Garden Club. The Club has supported numerous initiatives at Tudor Place, including the boxwood blight recovery plan, perimeter restoration projects, a botanical garden collections management system, replanting the Box Knot and tree care. Surrounded by 5 ½ acres in the heart of Washington’s historic Georgetown neighborhood, Tudor Place is a model of Federal-period architecture and home to six generations of Martha Washington’s descendants.

Reserve Your Private Photo Time in the Garden
The evergreens, red berries and camellias in the garden create a festive setting for your holiday photo shoot. The garden is closed to the public but you can make an appointment for your family and photographer.
