Events at the National Children’s Museum

June 1, 2022 by The District Leave a Comment

Let’s Celebrate!

Drum roll please…National Children’s Museum is now open on Mondays! In other words, we are open 6 days a week, and right in time for summer fun! Kick off your week with us to make Monday a little less…Monday.

What’s Happening

June’s theme: electric circuits
In June, we’re excited to dive into electric circuits! Explore how connections are made by constructing your own circuits using everyday objects (think motors, lights, and switches), and discover the power of conductivity by creating your own circuit out of paper and copper tape.

Visiting Exhibit Hall

Design Zone
Through September 5, 2022
Explore how science, technology, engineering, and math power your creativity in Design Zone.

Step into the shoes of video game developers, music producers, roller coaster designers, and more to discover how STEM is used everyday to solve design challenges. Throughout three interactive areas, you’ll put your creative problem solving skills to the test to see, hear, and watch STEM principles in action: Use patterns to build 3D towers, apply math to create the rhythms of your own hit song, and tweak the slopes of a roller coaster to construct the most thrilling ride!

To learn more about the experiences featured within the exhibit, visit our website. Design Zone will be on display from May 28, 2022, through September 5, 2022, and is recommended for Dreamers ages 5-12.
