Washington, DC will swear in the 45th President of the United States on Friday, January 20, 2017. The Inauguration will take place around noon on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol. Spectators will be able to view the ceremony on the National Mall. The Inaugural Parade takes place on Pennsylvania Avenue from the U.S. Capitol to the White House.

Inaugural Swearing-in Ceremony:
12pm – 3pm
You must have a ticket to attend the swearing-in ceremony. Tickets are free, but must be applied for through your local representative or senator’s office.

Inaugural Parade:
3:30pm – 6pm
Viewing the parade from the sidewalk is free and does not require a reservation. Bleacher seats can be reserved through the Presidential Inauguration Committee.

7pm – 11pm
Members of the public can apply for tickets to the official balls, including The Inaugural Ball, via the Presidential Inaugural Committee. You can buy a ticket for one of the many unofficial balls directly from the host venues or organizations.
