Lunchtime Lecture: The Woodrow Wilson Presidency through the Lens of the Post Office

Come nerd out with us once a month during your lunch! Every third Wednesday of the month, the National Postal Museum hosts speakers who are experts in their fields to discuss various topic related to the museum. The talk is followed by a Q & A session. Beverages and sweet treats will be served.

This April marks the centennial of the United States’ involvement in World War I. The National Postal Museum’s newest exhibition “My Fellow Soldiers: Letters from World War I” commemorates this anniversary. Please join us for a special WWI Lunchtime Lecture on Wednesday, April 19, featuring Robert A. Enholm, a Global Fellow at the Woodrow Wilson Center for Scholars, and Former Executive Director of the President Woodrow Wilson House here in Washington, DC. During the lecture, he will discuss Woodrow Wilson’s presidency before, during, and after the war using the unique lens of the Post Office, covering topics such as war letters, new technology, segregation and love letters.
