Metro service information for Thanksgiving weekend, November 22-25, 2018

The following is a news release from Metro:

During Thanksgiving weekend, November 22 – 25, Metro will operate on the following schedule:

Thanksgiving Day

Metrorail: Trains will run on a Sunday schedule on Thanksgiving Day with no scheduled track work. The system will open at 8 a.m. and close at 11 p.m. Off-peak fares will be in effect all day, and parking will be free at Metro-operated facilities.

Metrobus: Bus service will operate on a Sunday schedule on Thanksgiving Day. Customers should check bus timetables for details.

MetroAccess: Service will operate on a regular schedule. However, subscription trips will be canceled. Customers with subscription trips wishing to travel on Monday should call 301-562-5360 option 2, or use the online booking site to make or change a reservation.

Friday, November 23

Metrorail and Metrobus will operate on a regular weekday schedule with normal fare and parking rates in effect.

Saturday and Sunday, November 24 -25

Metrorail will operate normal weekend service on the Green Line. Customers should be aware of service adjustments on the Red Line with trains operating every 10-20 minutes; and on the Orange, Silver, Blue and Yellow Lines every 24 minutes.
